Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the execution of detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts in the E2E Telecom domain in a Telco environment across Mobile, Fixed Line & BRM
- Execute test scripts and report the progress in specified tools or trackers.
- Identify and raise defects using the agreed methodology and tools.
- Inform the test lead, test manager and non- functional test lead of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the product or the testing process.
- Record problems and issues in accordance with the project's problem and issue management plans. Uses the agreed Test Tools and Environments to produce all test deliverables, results, and defects.
- Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
- Participate in the release control process (when the application is transferred from the build team to the test team) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
- Validate product fixes.
- Ensures quality and accuracy of the test deliverables execution and results are maintained through to software release.
- Delivers support to the analysis, design and test phase for the new functionalities required.
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Minimum 7 years in Oracle Stack Applications (Siebel, OSM, ASAP, FMW, BRM) across the full SDLC in Telco BSS/OSS environments across Mobile, Fixed Line & BRM
- In depth software quality assurance experience including defect management for the Application based on Oracle Siebel (CRM, BRM, OSM), Middleware Suite (FMW,)
- Understanding of Production Incidents tracking, triaging, and replicating process
- Work with L3 Triage team across Siebel, OSM, BRM, ASAP
- Experience with Test Tools (HP-Mercury Quality Centre / JIRA preferably)
- Good hands-on experience in Siebel CRM, OSM, FMW & BRM and aware of Telecom Order Provisioning for Fixed Line
- Hands On experience on Unix, SQL
- General understanding of product catalogue
- Experience of Functional testing including System, Integration, Regression testing as well as data migration.
- Strong QA and Testing industry knowledge
- Good Communication and Team Player, open to flexible work schedule, ability to handle challenging situations, make quality-based decisions where necessary.
- Experience working with virtual teams situated across multiple geographies.
