Job Summary:
The primary focus of this role is the sale of marine products, specifically to identify, execute, develop and capture new and follow-on business opportunities leveraging excellent working relationships with key organizations and individuals in the government shipbuilding world. This position will manage and assist in the development of strategy and sales of the companys Sea Systems product line. Focus on domestic programs and sales within the U.S. Government and commercial marine/maritime organizations. Assist in similar activities with foreign opportunities. Become an expert on the U.S. shipbuilding infrastructure and activities. Be versed in the organization and activities of the U.S. Department of Defense, particularly the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps relating to the maritime arena with a focus on shipbuilding and unmanned/autonomous systems.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain excellent relationships with current and future Sea System customers.
Manage and develop sales of and expand the companys Sea Systems product line and programs within the U.S. Government and other domestic customers.
Be an expert on the companys organization, sea products, design and manufacturing capability, and product capture processes.
Identify and develop potential markets for the companys Sea Systems current and future products inclusive of market planning and forecasting.
Develop and make presentations to potential customers as required to effectively market products.
Provide input to the Strategic Business Plans and Operating Plans.
Develop and manage opportunity assigned capture efforts.
Develop annual operating budgets and control expenses.
Coordinate Logistics, Engineering, and other support functions within the company to assure meeting customer/proposal requirements, as needed.
Partner with our Marketing/Communications team for marketing and strategic communications outreach through domestic and international trade shows, conferences, response to media queries and advertising.
Coordinate Sea Systems business development related consultant and subcontractor support for tasks detailed above.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.
