Job Description
Position: Manager or Assistant Director - Legal
Qualification: LLB or LLM (CS will be an added qualification)
Experience: 10 -14 years (post-qualification experience in handling legal work)
Location: Mumbai
Role &Responsibility
Handling all corporate legal matters including:
- Handling queries under Rating Mandate, Agreement executed with Company’s Client
- Vetting of Rating Mandate, Agreement, Monitoring Agency Agreement & NDA executed with Company’s Client
- Assisting Legal Head in handling legal matters before SAT, NCLT, High Court and Supreme Court
- Preparation of POA, LOA required for day-to-day activities
- Handling investor, issuer complaints
- Vetting of Business Agreements to be executed by subsidiary companies
- Liaoning with external lawyers, for obtaining latest updates on the ongoing or fresh legal cases of the Company and for the purpose of obtaining legal opinions on various legal queries
- Liaoning with Trademark Attorney for handling Trademarks of the Company
- Attending the legal matters along with the counsels engaged by the Company
- Execute necessary precautions and measures with a specific end goal to shield the organization from any legal risks
- Co-ordination with various departments of the Company, for the purpose of handling legal work
- Assist in inquiry, investigations by the regulators, government authorities.
- Experience in handling cross jurisdiction agreements in order to protect interest of the organization
- Experience of setting up the business in global markets such as such as UAE, US and UK markets
- Implementing Legal Contract Management software
- Experience of reviewing guarantee documents
- Guide organization in handling work related data privacy law (as and when come)
Skills
- Proven experience as a Corporate Attorney, Corporate Lawyer or similar position
- Excellent knowledge of all the corporate laws, SEBI Laws including Companies Act
- Experience and knowledge of securitization and structured finance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to brief the senior counsel
- Outstanding drafting skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work individually
