Job Description
Function: Business Shared Services - Procurement
Job Responsibilities:
1. Proactively collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to lead contract negotiation with suppliers; develop negotiation approaches, fallback positions and acceptable terms and conditions through contract completion and identify key benchmarks to measure contractual arrangements
2. Develop and maintain category strategies to meet business objectives (e.g. best cost, quality, service, resilience.)
3. Define the Right mix of Sourcing strategies for each category within Indirect Procurement of Goods and Services,
4. Ensure the Reliable, Sustainable Supplier base to provide quality and timely services, at the best cost. Maintain Service Level Agreement for each type of spend.
5. Drive consolidation of Vendors
6. Maximise Long term Contract based Procurement verses one-time Negotiations
7. Simplify all process related to Indirect Procurement - Goods and Services and enhance user experience
8. Drive Savings targets on the Spend of approx. INR 4000 MM
9. Drive the Digital Procurement culture, use e-sourcing platforms for Price discovery
10. Ensure a Compliance to company policies, Chart of Authority
Supervises: Manager - 4 Nos , total team of 20 associates buyers
Direct Reports: 5
Geographical Scope: PAN India
Reports To: AVP, Business Shared Services, Supply Chain, Procurement Sales and Commercial.
Key Customers:
Internal Customers: Strategic Procurement, Supply chain, Manufacturing, Sales & Commercial, HR, Finance
External Customers: Lead/interface with Sourcing Group teams at local, regional, Interface with Group Functions, Vendor partners
Job Requirements:
Qualifications: Preferred BE Mech or other engineering g. Or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business
Additional qualification preferred in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or another technical field
Experience: 8 - 10 years in Procurement (at least 3 years’ experience in handling indirect Procurement, 1-3 years’ Experience in Shared Services an added advantage.
Functional Skills:
• Excellent leadership, stake holder and communication skills
• Understanding the Business Requirements, Stating the Scope of work, Vendor base
• Legal contracts for Goods and services
• Establish and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders aimed at identifying, understanding, and fulfilling their requirements.
• Digital Procurement - Robotic Process Automation (RPA), e-Sourcing, AI enabled tools, Vendor Portal
• Negotiation and Bargaining skills
• Analytical and Critical thinking ability
• Compliance to Chart of Authority, Purchase Policy Exposure to CAD , I GAAP and U GAAP audits
• Sustainability
