Key Responsibilities:
- One point contact with GSS and PLs for stock and supply issues.
- Proactive monitoring of supplies and deliveries - FC accuracy
- Organize weekly internal meeting with Sales & FAS Head to resolve pending issues.
- Additional responsibility that may justify this position - I) Put systems for dunning process and maintain overdues <10%, II) Liquidating near expiry material by directly dealing with customers, III) Maintain stock levels samples, commercial and new products, IV) Lower running cost of order process warehousing, stocking, distribution, freight forwarders, etc.
- Keeping track on ongoing changes in regulations from customs, local regulatory (CDSCO, FSSAI, local FDA) etc. which would impact HC sales & distribution of products in Asia South. Ensuring actions to implement the internal changes to adhere to the changing regulations.
- Maintaining high level contacts at all service providers 3 PL logistics, CHAs, Transport service providers, Consultants (for local warehouse, licenses pertaining to import- stock & sales etc.)
- Responsible for procurement planning, Inventory planning and management;
- Identification, selection & including definition of commercial & operating contract condition with 3rd party logistics providers including warehouse;
- Manage any order problems resolution process by interfacing with both internal departments and external agencies or parties;
- Lead in continuous improvement logistics activities/projects to improve efficiency and cost;
- Responsible for receiving, restricting goods due to damage in ERP system;
- Responsible for customer audit and company internal audit & implementation of audit recommendation.
- Co-ordinate with Accounts team and Overseas Credit Management team for credit risk management and credit blocks for all customers;
- Manage order processing process for smooth order management on the Evonik SAP platform; performing relevant SAP function like creating invoice, purchase order, goods receipt, etc.
- Sample processing in SAP / Sample Delivery to customers;
- Co-ordinating with overseas offices for shipment details, import documentation and provide relevant details to India Logistics department for clearance procedure;
- Follow up with local approved contracted transporters for ensuring smooth deliveries to customers on time;
- Product complain handling.
- Gathering data for monthly reports on sales and inventory & generating MIS for BL managers from sources such as SAP, ERP, etc;
- Monitoring receivables, extracting O/S data from SAP, payment/collection follow-up from customers;
- Handling customer complaints by visiting the customers if required;
- GST reconciliation with accounts department on regular basis;
- Responsible for new material code extension to Indian sales org. in SAP;
- Managing and supporting temp resource for the functions pertaining to sample ordering, inventory management and deliveries to customers & academics.
Education, Certification and/or relevant experience required
- Education Degree in Operations management/ Supply Chain
- Experience Minimum 10 years of work expereince required. Must have handled Excipient/API operations for cash to carry at Pharma excipient companies or Pharmaceutical distributors of excipients and API’s.
Additional skills and abilities required for this position
- Excellent communication skills and experience of dealing with Pharma procurement of different companies and dealing with principals in EU/US.
