Job description
Design and detailed engineering of Switchyard Single Line Diagrams and SLD’s for ACDB and DCDB.
Design and review of Switchyard Layouts: plan, sectional, Clearance Check Diagram, Earthing, Erection Key Diagram, DSLP, cable trench and Illumination.
Substation Calculation: Short circuit force, DSLP, Earthing mat, CT/VT Sizing, Battery sizing, Cable tray loading etc.
Component Data Sheets / General Arrangement Reviews: Switchyard equipment, Power transformers, C&R panels, Cables and SCADA systems.
General Technical Parameters, Design Memorandum and Customer Technical Specifications preparation.
Detailed engineering (Primary Engineering) from the Customer technical specifications.
Power Cable (HV and LV) sizing and calculation.
Control Panel & Relay panel schematics preparation and review.
Substation interlocking logic diagram preparation.
Preparation of check list and technical Specification of individual components.
Design and review of transmission line design, routing and calculations.
Knowledge in engineering specification and standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, SEC, IS etc.).
Partial Skill set include
Coordination of EHV substation parts of solar PV projects covering the phases within their development from project execution phase to commissioning assessments.
Preparing various components technical specifications within the EHV substation.
Participation in EHVSS feasibility report preparation, Technical Due Diligence report and site visits.
Advising client on any design issues encountered while design phase of the project.
Overall compliance to contemporary design engineering practices.
Coordination of designs and review activities between Contractor/EPC, Design team and client office.
Attending calls and review meetings of design and detailing progress of the project.
Highlight any technical issues as they occur and advise on their actual or potential impacts.
Correspondence record with client for ready reference required during design and review meetings.
Understanding and working in given scope and adhering timelines.
Customer communication, project progress tracking, interdisciplinary coordination.
Attending meetings at customer/contractor offices/site, factory acceptance testing and commissioning support.
Adhering to quality processes.
Participating in system development activities.
