Position Overview
The Senior Delivery Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for quality, timeliness and delivery of end results as per contractually agreed terms.
May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and
within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
Responsibilities:
- Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or group of projects
- Manages one or more teams.
- Coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function; and, requires basic commercial awareness.
- Assesses creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance criteria
- Oversees program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents.
- Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions.
- Directs area supported through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management; accountable for resource planning.
- Ensures essential procedures are followed and that contributes to defining standards.
Required Skills
Excellent people management , conflict management and hands on managing large teams
CSAT and stakeholder management
Good interpersonal and liasoning skills
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of hands on experience having managed multiple infrastructure delivery and operations and large teams in a client facing roles
- Good understanding of ITIL, ISO process standards
Education:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience,
