Department Description
We are part of FIL s General Counsel s team Internal investigations team supporting and conducting internal investigations working closely with the Financial Crime, Human Resources, Legal, Client Services, Operations, Information Security and Technology Risk and other teams to implement effective investigations and fraud prevention strategies. You will work closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and other departments to review and implement policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate identified risks.
Purpose of the Role
The role supports global Internal Investigations and the broader Employment Legal team. The Investigations E-Discovery Analyst is responsible for the management and day to day running of Fidelity s E-Discovery service as part of the Internal investigations team.
This position requires ready access to and regular communication with our colleagues in different geographies, eye for detail, diligence and willingness to learn.
This is a global role having direct interface with our colleagues located outside India.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Nuix Software and support the company s use of Nuix Worksation.
- Collection of data using Microsoft O365 standard and premium eDiscovery tools and Bloomberg Vault
- Manage document collection and production (processing, culling, review, redaction, and hosting of electronic data as well as all hard copy or opposing productions).
- Work closely with the company s Technology teams to maintain departmental databases and update software as required.
- Create databases and respond to the needs of the department and other departments.
- Organise and index case documents so they are readily available for efficient document review.
- Manage the implementation of new systems to facilitate the departments core responsibilities.
- Carry out day-today database maintenance, housekeeping, and reporting, as required.
- Document new departmental procedures.
- Provide support to internal investigations managers on investigations and with other departmental responsibilities as required.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- 3-4 years of work experience within eDiscovery in financial services, a top tier law enforcement or financial industry regulatory agency, or major litigation practice is a significant advantage.
- Fluent, excellent English (both verbal and written), with experience in reports and business writing.
- Excellent judgment; business sense; high standards of ethics,honesty and integrity
- Good analytical skills and common business understanding
- Strong attention to detail, organization and ability to successfully manage several ongoing assignments
- An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft O365, eDiscovery tools such as Everlaw, Relativity, Nuix Discover and litigation support systems
- Good understanding of disclosure requirements for DSARs and litigation.
- Deep understanding of a variety of best practices and procedures in the investigative field.
- Analytical with a demonstrated track record of solving complex issues using creativity, latitude and sound judgment in a self-directed manner.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
- Ability to plan, organise, co-ordinate and work well under pressure.
- The candidate will be required to be professional, confident and demonstrate sound judgement on how and when to escalate matters to senior management.
- Strong eye for detail with the ability to understand complex systems, financial processes and transactions.
- Able to remain motivated while completing routine tasks.
