Designation: Lead Oracle ADF Developer (Sr. Engineer, Software Engineering)
Location: Bangalore, Kochi, (remote)
Experience: 10-12 Years (Minimum 4 years in ADF)
Qualification: B. Tech /MCA /BCA
Timings: 1 PM to 10 PM(IST)
Role: Individual Contributor
Mandatory Skills and Knowledge
- Oracle Application Development Framework expertise (ADF)
- Comfortable and experienced designing a variety of complex/high availability database structures (relationship, key pairs, timeseries etc)
- Oracle Development Tools, PLSQL, Jdeveloper, Weblogic, XML Publisher and XML Gateway
- Developing web front and back ends
- Advanced understanding of web backend integration principles
- Proficient in Database programming skills
- Shows a systematic, analytical approach to problem solving and shows aptitude for analyzing and managing problems arising from incidents.
- Demonstrates above average communication skills with an aptitude for dealing with users and colleagues, using both business and technical language.
- Takes initiative to keep own and skills up to date and to maintain awareness of emerging tech
- Understands, explains and presents complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- PHP
- Comfortable working within a variety of web development frameworks
- Experienced in rolling out & using Automated testing principles
- Middleware applications using Apache Camel / Karaf / Maven)
- Comfortable designing API’s for bespoke technologies
- Technical knowledge and understanding of major technology areas, platforms, development processes and system lifecycles
- Demonstrates effective mentoring and coaching skills.
- Broad and in-depth technical knowledge and understanding of major technology areas, platforms, development processes and system lifecycles
Purpose:
- The role holder will be part of the distributed CS platform and integration development team, but specialising in supporting platform application integration developments and solutioning and build requirements.
- The individual will be able to orchestrate development conducted by both Xerox and partner supplier staff, and guide peers and reports on best development and integration practice, utilising existing composition processing and tracking toolsets.
- Recommend and implement optimisation and delivery technologies that improve the efficiency of the team, the quality of the product and the resilience of the platform
- Create / orchestrate the build of tools within the common platform that grow Xerox’s IP and product marketability.
- Continually innovate the Common Platform offer, making it more marketable for our sales staff
- Improve deployment and TTM processes for standing up instances and configurations of the Common Platform
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality and best practice is employed during application builds and maintenance
- Plans, design, develop and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.
- Must be capable of developing/deploying a range of products including API’s, patches, operating system modifications, front end GUI modules, etc.
- Analyzes, programs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.
- Using current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
- Plans and directs studies of potential electronic data processing applications.
- Develops and installs programs to support general business applications
- Designs web pages, including graphics, animation, and functionality; develops infrastructure and applications related to pages.
- May make hardware or software recommendations supporting application infrastructure improvements, alongside end customer, functional enhancements
- Roll out an automated test-driven development process
- Support the central platform (known as the “Common Platform”) integrations with 3rd party software . This may include production site software that supports ADF processes.
- Conduct and/or contribute to 3rd party solution analysis, working with suppliers and staff, to assess products suitable for improving operational efficiency.
