Department Overview
The Office of Head of Technology (OHoT) team supports Technology and enables the organization to provide a competitive advantage for Wells Fargo. This support includes, but is not limited to, developing the technology strategy and monitoring its execution, governing investment optimization through portfolio management, and setting standards and best practices for data governance and quality. As an integral part of OHoT, Contingent Resource Governance function supports Technology Vendor Governance and Management along with strategic initiatives.
About the Role
Supports Contingent resource governance initiatives through interactions with internal stakeholders and cross functional business partners. Develops metrics, reports and dashboards, leadership presentations on a regular basis. Also supports the team to track/evaluate performance of programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Primary (what she/he does 80% of the time)
- Ownership of Governance activities includes -Supporting Vendor performance initiative by working closely with the team and engaging with Stakeholders
- Handle escalations appropriately
- Monitor the Vendor Performance, issues reported and tracking them to closure partnering with Relationship Managers
- Monitoring/overseeing the OHoT’s performance in meeting Wells Fargo expectations/contractual conditions
- Responsible to support during strategizing, planning and execution of programs, services and initiatives as listed below:Identify Vendor Rationalization Target Scope, Prepare approach, Socialize, Implement.
- Ideation & Implementation of On/Offshore ratios with India-enabled vendors. Engage with TPG / SCM and Vendors and track and monitor Vendor delivery performance.
- Recommending LOB partners in Candidate / vendor selection / sourcing based on requirements, encouraging engagement with Preferred vendors , Owning strategy for non-preferred vendor exceptions
- Ensuring the alignment of process to Wells Fargo Compliance to Audit / Regulatory requirements, Policies and procedures
- Drive E&E & Cost reductions through innovative solutions and supporting cost Transparency
- Partner with IT Leadership to define insource/outsource framework & ensure ProServ governance reinforces & drives this framework
- Partner with TRIMS Engagement Managers to ensure SLAs are clear in Contracts and measure vendor performance
- Provides leadership to other consultants and analysts in the integration/ implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary.
- Prepare regular dashboards on key operational metrics & KPIs for executive level briefing (CIO dashboard views) that reflect efficiency & effectiveness of the business, present to various stakeholders.
- Analyze the reports between SCM / GSPO and provide key insight to help with decision making and in reducing the Data integrity issues & thereby being a Risk champion
Secondary (what she/he does 20% of the time):
- Support any business initiatives / process reengineering efforts to improve / optimize current process to minimize redundancies & cut operational cost, to deliver value to the organization.
- Building and managing relationship with OHOT leaders globally, business partners and other key stakeholders who influence decision-making
- Conduct meetings with Stakeholders to identify the scope for improving KPIs, Vendor performance survey and support other Contingent resource governance initiatives.
- Coordinate and involve in Team engagements, Team building activities etc.
Essential Qualifications:
- University degree in Business or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Vendor management, implementation, or strategic planning
- Ability to influence outcomes and results; ability to connect numbers to scenarios and plans.
- Strong communication skills; Prior experience in a team lead or management role
- Experience on preparation of dashboards / reporting/ analytics / BI
- Strategic – experienced collaborating with business partners and can represent/interface
- Business/procedure writing and exposure to MS Visio is a plus
- Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions
Skill Requirements:
- MS Office, Understanding of SDLC / ITIL methodologies and SOW Governance
- Sound understanding on Third Party Governance, Vendor spend & associated Risks emanating from vendors in a financial institution
- Data analysis, Deriving insights and Report generation
