Job Description

Job Title: Applications are invited for the post of Alcohol Technologist (2 Nos.) At Department of Alcohol Technology & Biofuels. The application should be submitted through Post or by Hand or by Email to VSI along with Photocopies of original Certificates, CV/Resume on or before 31 March 2021.

Compensation (Per month): 

Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month (These Post are Purely on a Contractual basis for a period of 11 months)

Job Profile:  

To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies in Extension activities.

The candidate should have good knowledge related to various aspects of the alcohol industry. He should be aware of the latest technologies of fermentation, distillation, downstream effluent treatment to achieve ZLD and other value-added by-products for the sugar/alcohol industry.

The candidate with exposure to the preparation of DPR, Tender documents, and valuation reports will be preferred.

The candidate should have an aptitude for offering consultancy services particularly in the area of first-generation ethanol, other value-added products, and downstream effluent treatment systems to achieve zero liquid discharge.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in distillery plant operations and process troubleshooting.

The candidate should be also conversant with typical performance parameters /norms in the distillery plant as well as with quality aspects of final products.
