Job Description
DISPLAY DESIGN
This would involve focusing on the visualization, design and implementation of displays for Zoya.
1. Trunk Shows and Events: Designing and implementation of trunk kits, looking at it from a POV of not only
the set-up but space and event as a whole. Event design and set-ups, both in-store and other spaces.
Interpretation of themes and detailing + execution basis this understanding (eg: colour palette, materials,
florals and food, table setting, signage, etc.)
2. Collection Display and Execution: Understanding the brief, brand filters, and accordingly coming up with
sketches and ideas for various formats of display design. Create detailed drawings and coordinate with the
Zoya Production in charge as needed to ensure timely and high-quality execution. Visit vendors to ensure
design and quality are maintained. Creating all artworks for vendors, manufacturers and execution partners in
a way that is clearly understandable and translatable for production fluidity
3. Trends and Research: Trend awareness and evaluation of global events, trunks, pop-ups etc. as well as
critical thinking on which of these trends to bring alive to best enhance the brand experience (eg: material,
finishes, colour, styling + architectural and interior related trends)
4. Store: Creating Planograms, understanding and helping to co-create distinctions in design for different Zoya
formats (high street, shop in shop, mall)
VISUAL MERCHANDISING
The primary ask from this part of the role is to create VM as per the quarterly calendar according to collections,
campaigns and special occasions
1. Ideate and create concepts using mood boards, colour palettes and material boards for new campaigns and
product launches.
2. Work with the in-house production team to procure the necessary materials (market and vendor visits) for
making a prototype of the concepts and ideas developed. Work closely with the team for timely and high-
quality execution and installation of VM
3. Exploration of new and different materials and methods for future VM projects.
4. Create artworks, interfacing with VM execution artists for execution and installation in a timely manner as per
the VM calendar
5. Create installation and demo manuals, explaining usage clearly. Interface with regional vendors and VM to
install and maintain.
6. Creation of a Zoya material lab over time in order to enrich and increase experimentation, as well as move
towards constantly becoming more cost-efficient.
7. Ideating and collaborating with the team lead on experience-related projects such as store design and
detailing, gifting, uniforms, etc.
8. Coordination and interfacing with production and vendors on accessorial design projects such as gifting,
uniforms, packaging and boxing, display, etc.
9. Graphic Design: create display guideline (SOPs) manual and creatives for retail.
VM Operations
An important part of this role would be to ensure all the operations end of VM requirements are in alignment with
function requirements
1. Interface with vendors, production and accounts to ensure smooth movement of estimates, invoices and
payments.
2. Ensure new vendors are correctly registered in a timely manner.
3. See to it that materials, samples etc. are accounted for in a systematic manner.
4. Convey detailed feedback to vendors according to internal discussions.
5. Collate display feedback from all stakeholders.
6. Coordinate with vendors to ensure products, installations etc. are completed and set up in a timely and
efficient manner.
