Overall purpose:
1. To lead a team of workmen
2.To achieve daily, weekly & monthly production targets as per plan.
3. To make weekly production schedule as per delivery & shop capacity
4. To align the resources (man, machine & material) to achieve planned delivery
5.To achieve OTP & TPT targets with help of Planning & Materials team
6. To make job as per drawing & required quality standards
7. To ensure safe working condition on shop floor & safe working practices
8. To deliver job as per commitment
9. To ensure cost sensitivity as per planned shop rate
10. To ensure line balancing & fix bottleneck operation so that no job is idle

1. Knowledge of engineering drawings and processes related to fabrication of boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.
2. Knowledge of basic welding processes, jigs & fixtures, hand tools, etc
