Business context
Solar Rooftops is one of the rapidly growing, emerging consumer businesses of Tata Power. The consumer side of the business, focused on serving residential, MSME & small commercial & institutional customers, through a network of 250+ channel partners, is playing a key role in riding the next wave of growth.
We have a cumulative installed base of 600+ MW pan India, 30,000+ customers, and have been awarded as the #1 player in Rooftop space by Bridge to India for 7 consecutive years from 2014 to 2020.
Responsibilities
The said position will be part of the team responsible for driving growth of the consumer business centrally, and will handle multiple initiatives from amongst below.
- Conceptualize, roll-out & anchor new alliances & partnerships, such as:
- Solar system installation to clients that can be penetrated at scale through central level tie-ups, such as Oil & Gas Petrol Pumps, Bank ATMs, Auto dealers etc
- Cross lead generation partnerships that enable reaching out to key decision makers, such as with companies in white goods, paints, roofing solutions etc
- Explore scaling up through e-Commerce tie-ups
- Support various marketing & channel initiatives, such as:
- Augmenting sale of Value Added Services such as Insurance, O&M etc
- Developing a standard process of capturing VoC to formulate medium & long term customer and business development initiatives
- Deeper penetration of existing programs such as Influencers & Customer Referral
- GTM of retail network for sale of products such as Home Automation, residential solar
Preferred Experience & Skills
The ideal candidate would possess the following skills & experience:
- Ability and willingness to hustle
- Cherishes a sense of responsibility and able to launch and implement new initiatives with minimal supervision / handholding
- Resourceful and not afraid to drive CXO / sr management connect at potential clients / partners
- Does not give up in the wake of resistance / seeming failures, is persistent
- Ability & willingness to independently liaise with stakeholders across functions & designations to get work implemented
- Looks out for opportunities to understand the customer & the market, excited by the prospect of interacting & working closely with the sales team
- Preferred experience of ~5+ years with mix of sales and marketing / growth roles
- Strong techno-commercial skills: Preferred formal education in Engineering & Management.
