Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and detailing of utility scale and C&I photovoltaic (PV) systems for Pre bid and construction purpose.
- Design of Substation and HT switchgear.
- Good knowledge in IEC, IS & other building codes is compulsory
- Review of specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives.
- PV system performance analysis.
- Keeping abreast of the latest solar plant design techniques in the industry and implementing in forthcoming project tasks.
- Electrical / Solar System sizing calculations.
- Occasional / frequent site visits to gain field data.
- Design of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including selection of system components & their integration, sizing & selection of various components of solar power plant, solar system design & calculations, preparation of bill of material, etc.
- Design of utility scale and commercial and industrial solar plants for rooftop and ground mount solar power system.
- LT/HT equipment selection, sizing and calculations.
- Proficient in reading the tenders and design proposition based on the requirements.
- Preliminary and final BOQ for costing based on tender specifications and details.
- Design of Substation and HT side of solar projects.
- Good knowledge in IEC, IS & other building codes is compulsory
- Review of specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives. Perform computer simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency (PVSyst).
- General arrangement / preliminary / final layout drawings using AutoCAD.
- Single and three-line diagrams.
- Keeping abreast of the latest solar plant design techniques in the industry and implementing in forthcoming project tasks.
- Electrical / Solar System sizing calculations.
- Occasional / frequent site visits to gain field data.
- Coordination within design team, supply Chain team, vendors, contractors and clients.
Desired Candidate Profile
Candidate should be Degree (Electrical / Electrical & Electronics) having experience in solar power plant designing with proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, Google Sketchup, Google Earth, MS Office. Knowledge of Helioscope and SolarGIS is added advantage.
