Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for effective negotiation, Vendor Development, Product Development, Lead-time reduction, ensuring smooth materials movements, making Rate Contracts, E-Procurement/Reverse auction & Applying Inventory Control techniques.
- Achieving savings against Tender Workings / PSE-DC
- Capability building for in-house costing analysis and historical cost checking / benchmark pricing for negotiation.
- To coordinate with regional team & design team for early release of packages. Also, to coordinate with Finance & Commercial to speed up the approval process of CS.
- To expedite the procurement process - Requisition to Release of PO.
- Reduction of inventory limit.
- Monitoring consumption, inventory control, perpetual inventory.
- Preservation, Maintenance and transportation of inventory.
- Liquidation of surplus and non-moving inventory.
- To set up efficient scrap management at sites.
- To develop new vendors based on capability, quality and reliability. Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers.
- Preparation of Procurement Schedules in coordination with Planning Team and in line with Target Construction Programme.
- To coordinate with site planning team to create PRs.
- To improve co-ordination between Receipt, Bill Passing & Accounts Departments.
- Manage the distribution of supplies within the project sites.
- Prepare and file detailed records on procurement activity, quantity, and vendors.
- Design and maintain department budgets.
Desired Candidate Profile
BE Civil with 20-25 years of experience and SAP MM
