Job Description
This role reports to Manager in the 3P MH Central Profile. The incumbent would be a part of central role in middle mile operations. This person would be the bridge between leadership and the ground operations. Person would also be solving day to day operational issues and ensuring that the set targets / SLA s are met. The incumbent would be ensuring the timely payments for the 3P Partner along with having a centralized view of data around the process, progress, payments & Partner s operation excellence.
About the team
Motherhub (MH) acts as an aggregation and sortation centre for moving shipments from Fulfilment centres (FC) and Seller clusters to Delivery hubs across the network. Economies of Scale: MH supports FC s for efficient order fulfillment. The 3P MHs are the ones which are not operated directly by Flipkart. 3P MH enables optimized utilization of transportation capacity. 3P MH sorts at delivery hub level to improve Last Mile productivity. Differentiate Service and Speed; Scale can be leveraged to remove speed constraints. Sortation based on product characteristics, category/customer preference and network ask.
What you ll do
- Take end-to-end responsibility of ensuring seamless operations at Third party owned Mother hubs.
- Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for Managers in their zones, measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Partners accountable for their performance and the performance of their teams.
- Should be able to think strategically; think short- and long-term objectives. Having a central view on all such Partner MH Locations. Act as a representative for the Central 3P MH Team.
- Works closely with Partners, Planning, HR and Finance to ensure a reliable Operations. Conducting weekly reviews along with the final financial loss to the company.
- Support Design team in pilot & rollout of new projects around performance improvement.
- Should ensure Partner s bill are cleared within the committed timelines.
- Liaise with respective zonal operations team on smooth rollout of new initiatives towards quality improvement.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders & support functions and identify/implement actions towards achievement of cost, speed and reliability targets.
What you ll need
- Graduate (preferred - candidates from Tier I/II MBA institutes)
- 2-4 years of experience in Supply Chain / Manufacturing / Warehousing / Logistics Operations
- Experience in Sort center is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Having strong knowledge of o perational issues. High level of accountability and responsibility.
