Description
• Engineer is directly responsible for designing Power Plant including renewable energy (Solar, Wind )
• Engage in understanding the engineering drawings to prepare and study technical data, specifications of Power Plant and renewable energy (Solar, Wind )
• Engage in Implementation and Testing phases of renewable energy (Solar, Wind ) /Combined cycle Design projects
Responsibilities
• Perform detailed engineering activities to deliver as per customer requirements
• Design, implementation of Power Plant controls and protection systems
• Process simulation & testing • Study of electrical SLDs, sizing calculations of cables, busbars etc.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electrical system, cables, LT-HT switchgears, transformers,
• Knowledge of Solar PV products, PV Process and Electronic Market • Understanding of Solar Inverter stations, string Monitoring boxes, PV Modules, battery chargers
• System understanding on Renewable (Solar, Wind ) power generation process
• Compile data and write reports for renewable (Solar, Wind ) projects.
• Working knowledge of industry standards, design and installation codes viz. IEEE, NEC, NESC, and other governing standards for design of solar PV systems would be added advantage
• Good knowledge of output, performance and reliability factors of various commercially available PV modules and inverters
• Process simulation & testing
• Pre-FAT, FAT & clean-up after FAT
• Identifying and communicating areas of potential process and design improvements to project manager
• Compliance with internal and external customer safety and security requirements
• Working with contractors / sub-contractors
• Fostering smooth collaboration and communication with project stake holders (internal project teams, customer project teams and onsite contractors)
Requirements
: • B. Tech / B.E (ECE, EEE, I&C, E&I) is essential
• Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in Renewable (Solar, Wind ) project engineering and commissioning
• Candidate should be well versed with Renewable (Solar, Wind ) Power Generation components like Inverter stations, string Monitoring boxes, PV Modules, battery chargers, Trackers, Met Stations etc.
• Experience working for a major Power Plant or OEMs • Skills in Power plant process and protection
• Troubleshooting, priority setting, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills
• Excellent language and communication skills, both verbal and written required
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to queries from groups of managers, clients and customers
• Proficiency with ISA and SAMA logic symbols, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics
• Added advantage will be proficiency with one or more DCS platforms (e.g. Emerson Ovation, ABB Pro Control / Bailey INFI 90, Siemens T3000 / TXP, GE Mark VI, Mitsubishi DIASYS Netmation, Invensys, Honeywell TDC3000, MaxDNA, MetsoDNA, Alstom Alspa320 etc.).
