Job Description
- Manage plan, execute and communicate of product production to meet and exceed financial goals
- Keep abreast of industry changes, market intelligence, fashion trends, new resources and opportunities
- Understand the global strategy and aligning the it to the region and aligning vendors to the strategy
- Carry out SOP and streamline work flow process in order to improve work efficiency and achieve Corporate goals and business demand
- Source and create material that support target price, technical requirement, with brand appropriate aesthetic. (Leather, footwear and with knowledge of other material in bags)
- Measures and monitors supplier performance and capability to make appropriate sourcing decisions, provide coaching to suppliers and reporting on metrics.
- Uses buy plans and product specifications to plan and coordinate product placement decisions by supplier and factory.
- Drive Projects in Sustainability, Localization Digitalization.
- Partner with NY office Product Development team to execute seasonal product development.
- Ensure calendar alignment and best practices to ensure Products are developed to brand aesthetics and up to corporate requirement.
- Work with factories and supervisor analyzing product construction; engineer products to price point; able to identify root problems and offer viable solution .
- Responsible for production of all adopted products through delivery
- Ensure the accuracy of regular reporting, costing analysis, WIP status and deliveries
- Lead process review meetings with vendors factories to reinforce quality assurance
- Lead the team for troubleshoot production problems and work with factory to present solutions to Management
- Responsible for ensuring upstream interaction and guidance to VendorFactory Teams to support the evolution of the product from design concept to commercial viability.
- This includes helping to identify and support critical production milestones that require special attention and procedures to achieve all aesthetic, performance, compliance and brand standards
- Establish collaborative networks with the Asia Production; technical and QA teams and their leadership to build proactive and supportive communication, which ensures quality business growth
- Lead product technique development with factories that meet design requirements and develop new vendors to minimize cost and lead-time associated with geographic changes of garment manufacturers
- Support and manage the vendor onboarding and exit activities
- Educate factories understanding brand aesthetic and quality standards for Ralph Lauren Accessories.
- Maintain standards across vendors for consistent execution; manage sample room capacity and also obtain best costing .
- At least 10 years in Leather Accessories merchandising experience preferred with US buying office or large trading business
- Profound product knowledge (Leather accessories) in high end brands products with good fashion sense
- High adaptability and flexibility to changing business environments, able to work independently
- Detail-oriented and able to handle very structured process
- Proven leadership skills and communication skills are the must Ability to communicate across multi-cultural and experience levels, internal externally
- Good PC skill, specially Excel, familiar with multiple systems, charts and reports
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in both spoken and written English
