Job Description
This is a support role that works closely with Corporate Development and M&A senior leadership to conduct in-depth research for target markets and companies. The role will provide support at all stages of the M&A lifecycle including strategy development, lead generation, pipeline development, target evaluation, due diligence, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential target companies for acquisitions based guidance from senior leadership for in-depth research and analysis.
- Gather and synthesize company and industry information from research sources including the Internet, online resources/subscriptions, trade publications, industry and equity analyst reports, and periodicals, etc.
- Helps with building strategic market maps by collaborating with a diverse group of internal stakeholders to uncover business intelligence via data gathering with surveys/questionnaires.
- Identifies trends and helps with market and competitive analysis presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Aids in logistics including, updating web-based deal and contact management systems, develop weekly status reports, administers data rooms, etc.
- Helps in scheduling and coordinating management presentations (external & internal)
- Helps and follows up on status to expedite NDA process and execution
- Helps to design reports, presentations and support materials for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Helps with appointment setting and introductions with target company Founders/CEOs/Owners
Requirements:
overall experience 5 to 8 Years
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a business research or similar role
- Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to master new tasks quickly with proven business research skills and acumen
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in an international business environment
- Detail oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Experience using Salesforce.com (preferred but not necessary)
- Demonstrates a basic understanding of M&A process (preferred but not necessary)
