About this role
As a Storage Administrator you would be responsible for proactive monitoring, trouble ticket resolution, performance monitoring and analysis to ensure overall availability and reliability.
You'll have the following responsibilities
- Configuration, administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Storage systems
- Performing health on Storage equipment NetApp/HP EVA/EMC ISILON, VMAX, VNX, INFINIDAT, HP XP etc.
- Able to communicate well with stakeholders towards work delivery.
- Contribute to the definition of the team processes and standards
- To work on Change Process, creation, and execution.
- Aptitude towards problem solving and troubleshooting skills including log analysis.
- Knowledge of Remote Support and Remote monitoring processes and concepts
- Should be willing to work 24*7 (weekend included)
You'll have the following skills & experience
- Must have 2+ Years of hands-on experience in Mid & Enterprise segment storage arrays, industry prevalent SAN fabrics technologies, NAS Technologies in Enterprise Production environment
- Must have very good understanding of HP/EMC/NetApp storage architecture and can handle L2 activities on storage and SAN
- Install, configure, manage and troubleshoot on Storage array like creating Volumes, LUNS, taking snapshots, replication, reporting & analysing.
- Administering, monitoring, managing and supporting Storage equipment NetApp/HP EVA/EMC ISILON, VMAX, VNX, INFINIDAT, HP XP etc.
- Tools exposure e.g. Remedy/ServiceNow/HPSM
- Experience using snapshot, replication or mirroring technologies like EMC, Isilon SyncIQ/Snapmirror, etc.
- Creating RAID Groups, binding LUNs, Creating Meta LUNs, Creating Storage Groups, and Registering hosts as per customer Requirements
- Hands on experience on Configure Zoning on Brocade or CISCO Switches
- Experience in zoning using CLI & GUI.
- Strong analytical and verbal Skills
- Self-starter who can lead the way by setting up prototypes for vendor technical teams to follow
- Contribute to the definition of the team processes and standards
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
