Job Description
The HR Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, monitoring performance, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
- Making offer letters, appointment letters, certificates, release letters and any other documents for employees
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Negotiating salary with the employees
- Coordinating with the employees and the departments for the onboarding process
- Tracking employee working hours, log in times, departures, and break time off of the employees
- Tracking and managing the leave of the employees
- Designing, Upgrading, Managing the Performance Management System
- Managing the assigned operational activities of the company
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
- Update employee data and information in HR software from time to time
- Managing and handling the payroll system of the company
- Generating Payslips on the portal and circulating it to the respective employees
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Coordinating with the Accounts and operations department for consolidated payroll structure
Job Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of PF, ESI, Professional Tax.
- Basic knowledge on HR policies and Practices
- Experience with recruitment, Payroll management, Onboarding, Performance Management, etc
- Must be spontaneous and flexible
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Location: Kolkata (Work From Office is mandated)
