MBA in Sales & Marketing or equivalent
- 10 12 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in leading sales teams
- Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
- Strong networking and relationship management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
- Ability to think strategically, and plan for long term
- Ability to analyze sales figures and take action based on insights drawn
Roles and Responsibilities
Sales Planning and Relationship Building
- Prepare an action plan along with the Regional Sales Head for achieving monthly targets.
- Leverage market and industry knowledge to forecast business opportunities and determining sales initiatives
- Develop and sustain long-lasting relationships with key partners like Insurance offices, brokers, Corporates, etc. and work actively towards becoming a trusted partner to them
- Stay abreast of trends in health insurance market and keep a tab on competition and respond by creating equally compelling tips to pitch for acquiring new business opportunities.
- Perform a variety of market and competition analysis and share relevant insights with the regional sales head for decision making
Achieve sales targets
- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging the network
- Plan approaches and pitches. Make impactful presentation to clients.
- Ensure timely response to customer queries. Escalate as required and demonstrate a commitment to action towards closure of sales
- Participate in pricing the solution / service. Provide inputs for contract formulation, ensuring that the proposal / contract is aligned to the customer; needs, concerns, and objectives. Negotiate effectively to ensure business target achievement
- Enhance sales by understanding the market and target customer segments appropriately
- Work with the Customer Service team as required to ensure customer engagement as well as cross-sell- or up-sell opportunities
- Manage a healthy portfolio of customers
Ensure sales process completion through key sales activities
- Ensure compliance to sales process at all times. Demonstrate strong business, product and service knowledge to ensure right commitments are made to the customer
- Be responsible for ensuring necessary information and support is provide with respect to documentation, on-boarding, service delivery etc. Collaborate internally cross functionally to ensure the same.
