Job Title Attorney Associate, Subpoena Compliance
Location: Mumbai, India
Reporting Manager: Team Lead
Role Summary:
The Attorney Associate accomplishes a high-level review of subpoenas in accordance with the client's guidelines and instructions in the subpoena. The position entails reviewing claim files in accordance with the client instructions and subpoenas and provide the responsive documents to the subpoena requester. He/She needs to perform the examination quickly and accurately with minimum supervision. Other types of legal support and services, which require the application of legal knowledge and skills, may be required based on client requirements from time to time.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducts research and gathers data in accordance with client instructions and specifications
- Provides sample documents/queries as needed and escalates queries and concerns related to the work performed
- Contributes best practices for the work performed
- Reports metrics appropriately in the dashboard
- Follows proper document management
- Maintains confidentiality of all organization and client information
- Effectively communicates verbally and in writing to internal and external clients.
- Daily tasks/skills required to efficiently and effectively complete requirements include:
- Utilizes multiple (3-4) technology applications, exhibiting outstanding computer skills.
- The ability to multitask is essential to meeting minimum requirements and achieving future success. Upon accessing matters, the Associate will be responsible for reviewing Subpoenas and Claim Files/documents including:
- Reviewing claim files/documents for providing responsive documents to subpoena requester
- Redacting privileged and proprietary content or otherwise non-responsive content from the claim documents
- Daily active management of individually assigned queue of documents in multiple stages of completion
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Able to adhere to processes and able to problem-solve creatively.
Education and Experience:
- Law Graduate
- 6 months-2 years experience in Document review, Due diligence or Litigation
Shift Time- 2:00 PM to 11 PM (Fixed shift/shift allowance provided)
