Responsibilities
Handle Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) matters
- Coordinate and assist in availing various benefits (Customs duty, AL/EPCG, etc.) and duty drawbacks
- Support in timely availability of Export License as per need of business
- Support in taking up external policy matters with the Govt.
- Represent for covering products under RoDTEP, MEIS, if not covered
- Ensure compliances in the matter of DGFT and Customs (EODC, Bond redemption, keep IEC updated, etc.).
Indirect tax laws/rules compliance
- Ensure compliance with indirect taxation regime GST, Customs etc.
- Share relevant changes in law, case laws with all stakeholders,
- Assist & support in providing a written opinion on issues concerning indirect taxation and allied matters
- To obtain clarification from Govt. authorities in the matters of indirect taxation
US SNAP Program
- To keep track of changes brought about in the Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program of the US EPA
Govt. Liaisoning
- Coordinate & attend to the notices/ summons received from various Govt./ Statutory authorities.
- Ensure timely representation to various authorities in matters involving commercial issues.
Legal matters
- Provide first level support/advice in legal matters
- Vetting of contracts
- Coordinate with Corporate team/ consultants in obtaining legal opinions
- To respond to the SCNs, attend hearings and represent in legal cases
Others
- Determination of HSN for new products (FG/ RM)
- Ensure compliance with the RBI Master circular.
Position Specification
Educational Qualification
CA/ CS/ LLB
Nature of experience
Exposure in FTP, FEMA, RBI Regulations, Indirect taxation, Legal, Govt. liaisoning working in Mfg. industry/consultancy.
Duration of experience
8 - 10 years
