Job Purpose
We are seeking an Industrial engineer who for one of our Global Customer who improves the productivity, safety, quality, delivery and cost of manufacturing operations through the application of transformative change and continuous improvement methodologies. Integrate user, machine, material, information, and technology to create an optimized process.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete motion and time studies using MTM-UAS/MTM-MEK, through physical observation onsite or by reviewing video footage, segregating value added and non-value added time and identifying opportunities to eliminate waste and improve ergonomics
- Optimize routings, manufacturing standards, and line balance through analysis of motion and time studies, physical observation, and conversations with direct labour
- Identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, flow, and efficiency
- Utilize simulation software to test improvements and build the business case for proposed changes
- Document processes though standard work, layout, value stream maps, flow charts, and manufacturing bill of material
- Ensure the adoption of safety, process, and quality standards
- Ensure the optimized and efficient use of resources of space, time, labour, energy and material
- Establish effective and efficient plan for every part attributes in support of manufacturing and assembly
- Collaborate with design engineering and quality engineering to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly
- Leads formal kaizen events

Job Dimensions:
Work with all plants, business functions, and other internal customers globally
- Work with Industrial Engineers, Operators, Design Engineers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, and IS Professionals globally
- Support multiple global manufacturing sites and products
- Typical office environment as it pertains to lighting, temperature, and noise level when in administrative/operations offices
- Manufacturing setting with moving equipment when in plant/production facilities
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse, and to handle other computer components
Capabilities
- 5 plus years of direct line industrial engineer support of a manufacturing or assembly operation or 5 plus years of experience supporting offshore industrial engineering of a manufacturing or assembly operation
- Ability to fluently communicate, both written and verbal in the English language
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of time
- Highly self-motivated, ability to work under pressure, manage and prioritize multiple objective concurrently, attend to details, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Proven ability to analyse situations and accurately take effective actions
- Technical writing
- Ability to work effectively across levels from shop floor to director level
- Willingness to adjust working hours as necessary to ensure effective support of international operations
- Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical manufacturing and assembly systems
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and bills of material
Preferred skills
- Process Mapping along with Models and Options analysis
- Development of MBOM
- Visual Work instruction/Standard operating procedures
- Sound Knowledge of PMTS technique: MTM-UAS/MTM-MEK
- MUDA/MURI/MURA analysis
- Knowledge of World class manufacturing
- Working knowledge of PFMEA
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and comfortable navigating various software packages; SAP experience preferred
- Experience with creating CAD layouts and Optimization of Layout space
- Working knowledge on Low cost automation and sensor application
- Assembly tools/Equipment selection knowledge
- Preparation of Yamazumi charts
- Identify and implement improvements in productivity, safety, quality, material flow
- Proficient ability with fail-Safing(Poka-Yoke)
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Value Stream Mapping,
- Working knowledge and experience with Plan for every part (PFEP),Material flow analysis, concurrent product and process development (CPPD), and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA)
- Preferred progressive experience with design failure modes and effects analysis (DFMEA)
- Working knowledge and experience with control plans and flowcharting
