Job Description
1. JOB PURPOSE
To develop a process oriented culture and drive Business Excellence initiatives across the GMR SSC Business. Train and develop
teams across the business and in respective functions to design, manage and improve processes towards creating GMR SSC, a
Centre of Excellence entity. Also capture, share and adopt best practices from within and from across leading organizations and
enable best suited Partners to engage SSC excellence journey.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators
Operations:
. To study As Is Process & carry out Process Improvement Projects by
applying Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping & other Lean techniques.
. Act as single point of governance for all SSC processes and ensure transition
is undertaken in accordance to the processes defined as part of Project
Pragati
. Act as single “Source of Truth” for monitoring SSC performance against the
agreed SLA/KPI’s defined
. Develop and Publish SSC performance dashboard
. Conceptualize and implement continuous improvement culture building
initiatives and partner with Service delivery leads to drive appropriate
campaigns
. Conceptualize and drive Leading and Emerging practice review and provide
comparative analysis of gap between baseline performance of GMR SSC
Processes and KPI’s and industry leaders
. Coordinate and anchor action plan to progress towards achieving best in
class status.
. Continuously scan, review and study emerging Industry leading practices for
Process improvements specifically areas where AI/ML / RPA / Block chain
are being implemented globally and by India Peers . Process Improvement
Projects identified
. Drive BE initiatives like adoption of GBEM Framework, CIPs, Idea Factory, 5 S
and Kaizens. . Planned v/s Actual People Management
. Hire BE Specialists
. Hiring and Resource planning along with optimizing the resource utilization
by identifying areas of efficiency
. Continuous monitoring & management of team members . Employee Progression rate
. Employee attrition Rate
. Average team satisfaction
survey score
. Identify key industry, academia and knowledge management forums for
participation and membership
. Identify list of Professional partners with capabilities in Continuous Process
Improvement, Technology enablement, Lean/ Six Sigma Quality tools
training and certification,

Work closely with Corporate BE team in driving and
adopting improvement initiatives in GMR SSC
4. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications
. Bachelor’s Degree with Dip / MBA in Total Quality Management
. Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt from reputed institute
. L&D skills
. Knowledge of Business Excellence frameworks like Malcolm Baldrige or EFQM
. MS- Office applications skills
. Knowledge about process mapping tools like MS-Visio.
. Exposure to statistical software like MINITAB will be good
Technical skills
. 8-10 Years of experience, in large BPO / Service Industry and in a similar role
. Functional experience in Finance & Accounts/Procurement would be preferred
. Good exposure in Management System viz. ISO 9001, ISO 20000, , ISO 27001, Six Sigma, 5S , Kaizen, Juran
Methodology, Process Mapping and Management System Training.
