Job Description
The purpose of this role, as a senior member of the CCO leadership team, is to lead the Risk Control Operations in Bangalore for providing support to the Asset Management (AM) Chief Control Officer (CCO) teams globally in their responsibility for driving the effective governance and management of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) with clear commercial focus and client centric approach including the following:
- Promote accountable risk and control decision-making based on quality data and commercial analysis.
- Enable the business to clearly, consistently and comprehensively articulate the risk profile of the business, including the integrity of processes and controls.
- Support Risk and Control Owners in identifying anomalies in control effectiveness or the aggregation of risks that may take the risk profile of the business outside of tolerance.
- Assess and promote improvements to the Accountability, Roles and Responsibilities matrix for a given set of activities.
- Support Risk Owners through proactive advice based on risk and control knowledge and insights and present risk management solutions where appropriate.
- Identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment.
- Actively challenge poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviours.
- Challenge Control Owners on the design and implementation of control monitoring to confirm it is fit for purpose.
- Promoting desired behaviors and a positive risk culture and supporting the delivery of the conduct outcomes.
The team will have country region global deliverables as follows:
- Maintaining oversight providing support to risk and controls owners on the entity risks and control assessment process including RCA , control monitoring, manage issues, internal events and similar tasks for the global functions operating from AM Bangalore.
- Support the global AM locations on key deliverables such as reporting preparation of governance meetings MI, providing support to global AM CCO by ensuring timely and accurate MI on data quality, tracking group initiatives across AM offices, sharing best practices across regions, etc.
- Ensuring BAU deliverables across AM. This includes ensuring keeping Helios up to date, having an \u2018early warning\u2019 methodology in place to avoid Helios data quality (DQ) exceptions.
- Tracking audit issues to ensure actions are addressed as agreed and produce related MI.
- Supporting key markets (Global Network) with their BAU activities. This includes maintenance of Helios, performing remote reviews on behalf of the locations (where possible practical), continuous monitoring, issues and actions management, etc.
