Roles and Responsibilities
The Technical Product Manager Workday will provide leadership, strategic direction, and analysis to oversee the organization's human resource information system. This includes system configuration, business process management, and security maintenance. They will create short and long-term goals and objectives for operations, processes, data flows, security, reporting, and analytics. This role will support a team of engineers by assisting with their backlog of Information, communicate product backlog priorities to the team, act as the key decision-maker regarding what features the product will have responsible for the vision of what is to be built, and conveying that vision to the team.
Job Role:
- Build and lead a Workday team with culture of accountability that ensures delivery of timely, quality services.
- Review and analyze current procedures, identify areas for improvement and develop and implement a standardization system across the enterprise.
- Create and deliver program / project level documentation (i.e., strategy roadmaps / reports, project deliverables, etc)
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all functions (HR, Finance, IT, Operations) to maintain and develop processes that will create a best-in-class HR operations platform and an excellent employee experience.
- Translate business objectives and unmet needs into a clear vision and roadmap, with rigorous requirements, then support the execution of that vision.
- Lead projects and teams; obtain key partner buy-in, develop requirements, build/test, prepare for change management, go-live and conduct post-mortem feedback improvements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Overall 10+ years of industry experience working in management technical lead roles within global teams, delivering and supporting solutions.
- 5 years of hands-on experience managing Workday Teams, defining, designing, and implementing HR and Finance applications with Workday.
- Domain expertise in business applications, experience managing projects using Agile software tools such as Mingle, VSTS, JIRA, Team Services, Rally and demonstrated ability to empower teams.
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Workday Studio, Workday Core Connectors, EIB/DTS, Workday Report Writer, Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST, and WS standards).
- Have a practical knowledge of Workday's security model, Time Tracking, Payroll, and 3rd Party payroll Integrations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills. Talent development skills and the ability to recruit/retain an effective team.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including experience working directly with users and collaborating across internal teams to deliver complex projects.
- Keen problem-solving skills, ability to deal with complex situations and recommend a technical solution.
