Job Description
Job Summary:
Design of steel structures, by technical calculation and verification by testing. Development of 3D models, Drafting, preparation of BOM, and release for manufacturing.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design of steel structures like Base frames, Lifting arms, Booms
- Analytical stress calculations of load-bearing members
- Design of weld and pin connections.
- Design of linkage Mechanisms.
- Weight reduction/optimization of steel structures.
- Stability calculation
- Resolving fields failures and manufacturing issues
- Design of Equipment layout
- Vehicle integration
- Physical validation of structures using strain gauges
- Preparation of 3D models and release of drawing for manufacturing
- Technical clarification to internal customers, vendors & suppliers.
- Co-ordination for Proto Assembly at shop-floor and Testing.
- Study and analyze ECR, ECO received and make an implementation plan
- Prepare & update records for ISO, OHSAS.
General Activities:
- Activities specified as part of the KPIs with relevant targets and weightage shall be performed and recorded on OPEL tool/data sources connected to the KPIs periodically.
- Any other activities unspecified and which is not part of the above list shall be performed as assigned by the Reporting Manager
Knowledge:
- Engineering design calculation.
- Weld design. 3D modeling, Hydraulic routing, Drafting, preparation of BOM
Major Skills:
- Strong Technical knowledge and visualization.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with internal & external customers.
- Study field failures suggest resolving the issues.
- Exposure to Solid Edge, SAP, Femap.
