Roles and Responsibilities
System Engineering team is responsible for the engineering and architecture of all network, compute and storage infrastructure of the companys hosted cloud offerings. The core focus for this opening is related to the organization’s compute infrastructure although the expectation is for broader experience and role. The team has global responsibilities in both a professional and managed services role to offer expertise into its customers’ environments. The role is responsible as part of a larger to team to provide technical leadership and ownership of the Data Intensity infrastructure systems and supporting applications. This position also acts as an escalation point to 24x7 systems administation as well as our implementation teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support hosted cloud infrastructure solutions leveraging Oracle VM, VMware, and Hyper-V as well as public cloud offerings; Azure, AWS, OCI
- Provide thought leadership and solutioning towards the continuous improvement of existing processes and related technologies; DevOps, automation engineering.
- Develop and maintain operational rigor associated to storage and compute infrastructure
- Prepare technical design and implementation documentation
- Escalation point for systems and application teams on critical technical issues
- Act in a trusted advisor role for Data Intensity customers, and offer expertise into their Infrastructure.
- Support company’s ITSM best practices and all security and compliance mandates
Requirements
- Linux (Oracle), Unix and Windows systems administration and support
- System Virtualization (VMware/Oracle VM/Xen/KVM)
- Management and support of enterprise storage solutions including; NetApp, Pure, 3PAR
- On premise and Public cloud infrastructure development and support
- Build automation and shell scripting development
- Produce technical documentation

Education:
- B.S. or 10+ years of experience in an engineering-focused role
