Roles and Responsibilities

• Standard cost revision - Review yearly standard cost working for material and overheads. Review the overheads rates for labour, machine and other overheads, ensure the workings follow the established practices and present the standard cost revisions for management approval.
• Product costs - Provide management and operations an overview of current product costs (Product line wise), factors driving material costs changes (Source change, currency or design changes), assist operations in cost reduction efforts (Like localization, Make or buy analysis). Provide inputs on material costs including overheads for product pricing and other critical decision making.
• Monthly book close -Responsible for adjustment entries and provide guidance to team on complex accounting entries.
• Profit center reporting - Ensure Business units results are analyzed and reviewed with management and financials reflect business unit performance. Review of period costs, overheads, and corporate allocations, monthly actuals vs business plan reporting. Provide inputs for management dashboard reporting.
• Inventory Accounting & Reporting- Supervising accounting of inventory, its allocation to different product level, inventory valuation and monitor inventory controls. Leading inventory governance meeting, presenting inventory projections and inventory turns reports to management. Review of inventory count process, inventory provision, and approve inventory write off.
• Business support - Able to understand the business requirement from financial perspective, provide solution to business problems using financial / non-financial data and facts, teamwork with operational section managers to achieve organizational goals.
• Transaction support: Review of purchase orders and invoice to pay.

Desired Candidate Profile

• CA , ICWA qualified with 3 to7 years of experience in accounting preferably in Accounts payable
• Demonstrate initiative, leadership, good judgment, and accountability
• Experience in cost accounting
• Candidates willing to relocate to Coimbatore only.
