What we're looking for:
Business Development Manager
This is a key position as part of the Citrix India management team reporting to Area Vice President and Country Manager. The role is preferably based in Delhi.
The objective of this role is to formulate and establish new growth areas for Citrix in Indian Subcontinent, work on streamlining/prioritizing these to convert to the pipeline and work with internal teams & external ecosystems including consultants, influencers, partners, and analyst firms to create a preference for Citrix.
This role is currently an individual contributor role. BD Manager will work closely with India management and sales teams on the ground, presales, and channel leadership in developing a strong pipeline for new growth areas that may not be getting covered by existing sales teams.
This is a sales management role for new markets and opportunities that may have a longer-term horizon for closure.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Should be the driving force behind developing new customers, opportunities (within or outside of existing focus accounts), and verticals currently not being targeted by the sales teams.
- Liaising with Industry Influencers, Big 4s, and other key trendsetters to leverage their strengths and expertise to derive an advantage for Citrix.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge in key growth verticals including competition activities, potential alliances, key stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
- Preparing detailed business plans which cover relevant and measurable goals/ objectives
- Attending and representing Citrix in key and marquee industry events
- Carry direct responsibility for sales revenue for identified initiatives and opportunities. The measurement for this role is based on a balanced mix of country quota and KRAs that will be assigned for opportunities that may be mid-term to long-term in nature.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Proven track record and sales experience of 14 to 16 years in the IT industry & min. 3 years in managing teams that sell complex technical business solutions in the enterprise space.
- Established connections with CXOs in the industry. Understanding of IT product reseller/SI organizations in India and consulting organizations.
- Experience in public sector business nationally will be of added benefit.
- a high degree of motivation and professionalism with new market development experience, change management, problem-solving, leadership, and team-building skills.
