To keep track of feedstock prices such as Crude & first level feed stocks, forex, seed crop for veg oils, LME, etc. and track the rates of respective category materials
Keep track on availability of material and in case of any shortage of materials, shall immediately inform the senior and work-out action-plan for smooth supply to plants.
Monitor the overall inventory of their Category & guide the PMT, wherever necessary.
Time to time communication with PMT in resolving their queries, intervention in resolving issues with vendors wherever required, change in inventory norms depending on shortages etc.
Ensuring that the negotiations are conducted properly and all efforts are made for most competitive price discovery.
To ensure adherence of laid down processes for rate approval & PO approval.
To ensure timely placement of Purchase orders
To address & timely resolution of all vendor queries.
Review and closer of old POs. In case the vendors have not honoured the POs due to rate increase, this should be escalated as exceptional point.
Keep the Management updated about the major price movement in any of the materials.
To ensure that the inquiry is floated to all approved vendors and fair chance is given to all vendors to participate in the bidding process.
In case of imports the comparative shall include the comparative status of vendors as well as import rates of other cos.
To monitor the SMNM list and ensure no fresh purchases. The liquidation plan to be worked-out by transfer to consuming locations. To take-up with respective R&D person to get the liquidation plan and implement the same.
To bring all local vendors on suppliers and ensure that all enquiries are floated through I supplier.
The list of vendors with vendor rating below 0.7 to be published and they should be blocked for PO placement.
To prepare monthly report on
a. Analysis of Stock-out submitted by PMT & any suggestion / correction from Central team.
b. Liquidation Action plan for SMNM, Status Plan vs. actual & in case of backlog how & by when it will be back on track.
c. SOB deviation If it is based on decision as per category Manager
d. Cost Saving achieved till date & plan for balance period
e. Average Credit period & plan of converting CAD / LC parties to credit terms – on Quarterly basis
f. Sourcing & PM – Projects underway with saving potential – Timelines with milestones. – Report where the milestones are missed / need any intervention & in case of backlog how & by when it will be back on track.
g. Sourcing & PM – Single source List to be discussed with action plan & timelines to eliminate the single source.
h. Monthly rejection data shared by PMT to be analysed and CAPA to be discussed in the monthly meeting.
i. Repeat failure materialwise & vendorwise to be analysed and corrective actions to be planned.
