About the team
Hyperlocal is the newest team under the Flipkart umbrella, with the sole mission to provide Best Customer experience & Customer Delight serving the gamut of products under Flipkart platform. The team would enable Customers with multiple choices of faster deliveries bridging the gap of Urgent Customer Needs with a wider array of selection. The team is a high intensity team with the perfect blend of folks bringing complementary expertise from Fulfillment Centers, Last/Middle Mile & Customer Services.
About the role
The Area manager would manage the complete cluster stores making sure that customer orders are processed and deliver the best experience. Candidates would be managing people ensuring that operations run smoothly and metrics are achieved. As a manager should encourage team members and make the store a great place to work. Owning key metrics and driving the team with a structured approach to achieve the same.
Expected to build stakeholder relationships, prepare RCAs,CAPA, maintaining inventory reco records.
What you’ll do:
- Managing & Responsible for Hyperlocal Stores’ Operations matrix
- Has knowledge and experience in direct-to-customer fulfillment operations as well as excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Develops a problem-solving culture where problems are made visible and fixed at the root cause
- Evaluate, Monitor and drive all Non-Compliance audit points to closure in coordination with all External and Internal Stakeholders viz for all Audits
- Retrieve, Analyze, prepare and present FC performance at a Zonal level on a Weekly basis. Also, drive action points to closure within the stipulated timeline

- Update and maintain Data repository for all Infrastructure requirements (Racking Structure – Label, Assets) and manpower deployment on a regular basis
- Analyzing store level Weekly/ Monthly Performance
- Ensuring Stores’ SLAs achievement.
- Ensuring that Store Level CPS Targets are achieved.
- Solving day to day operational issues with stores and 3PL
- Identifying improvement areas, performing RCA and strategizing mitigation Plan
- Ensuring Inventory Hygiene & losses Reco with necessary documents & data
- Daily reports of the store to higher management
- Resolving cash reconciliation pendency at the store Level with 3PL Management Team
- Handling Customer Escalation Issue, RCA
- Attendance of off roles,rosters,hiring to be maintained.
- Managing/building stakeholder relationship
What you’ll need:
- MBA/PGDM from a Tier I Tier II college/Bachelor’s Degree from Tier 1 Engineering School
- 5+ years’ experience with warehousing,supply chain,FMCG
- Strong experience in scaling up of operations or greenfield scaleup experience
- Strong bias for Impact based Action: Flipkart works at a very rapid pace & that is what would be expected.
- Strong analytical approach to problem-solving with a metrics-driven focus
- Constantly thinks outside the box; leads others to success and drives change to influence others in order to achieve results.
- Knowledge of fulfillment/warehouse/ distribution/ last mile operations
- Strong background in leading teams across multiple Cities/ Zones
- Extraordinary Change Management skills: Processes, Policies, Training & Systems
